The new edition incorporates recent developments in the environment in which agriculture operates such as climate change and agriculture's mitigating role, concern with animal welfare, the social contributions that agriculture makes, risks associated with globalization, and rising concern over sustainability. It also addresses adjustments required following the UK's departure from the EU, to provide a comprehensive introduction to the subject of economics for agriculture students.
