IAgrM Membership

Membership is open to farmers, farm managers and others engaged in management in agriculture and associated rural businesses.

Individuals in other groups associated with management in agriculture in its widest sense, such as consultants, advisors, academics and research workers are also welcome.

Membership Criteria - FIAgrM

IAgrM award Fellowship to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to agriculture or the wider rural sector. To apply for Fellowship, you need to demonstrate career experience in four out of the following twelve areas:

ADVOCATE

  • Service to IAgrM nationally or at a local branch level
  • Service to another professional body relevant to the wider agricultural industry
  • Service to the wider agricultural industry

LEADER

  • Demonstrates leadership within the agricultural industry
  • Demonstrates excellence within leadership and management
  • Leads initiatives promoting diversity, equity and inclusion within the industry

PROFESSIONAL

  • Evidences qualification to degree level or above
  • Demonstration of ongoing knowledge exchange
  • Demonstration of applied research relevant to agricultural management in its broadest sense

ROUTE 1: A Graduate Member (GMIAgrM) is for an individual who has achieved a degree-level qualification in an agriculture or related course including an apprenticeship. 

ROUTE 2: A Graduate Member (GMIAgrM) is for any individual following completion of their education 

Student Members may automatically apply for Graduate Membership on completion of their full/ part time agriculture or related course including an apprenticeship.

Graduate membership is for a two-year period following completion of a degree-level qualification in an agriculture or related course including an apprenticeship or general education.
