ALL SPEAKERS NOW CONFIRMED - 1st NOVEMBER 2022 NATIONAL FARM MANGEMENT CONFERENCE QEII CENTRE, LONDON The National Farm Management Conference is one of the standout events of the year for IAgrM.  Following the success of last year’s event, we are again planning to hold the event at the QEII Centre in London.  This year the conference will be on Tuesday 1st November 2022.  The theme of this year’s conference will be: Agriculture’s Defining Decade: Balancing Food and Environmental Security Following disruptions caused by Brexit, Covid and now war in the Black Sea region the food security debate rages on like never before.  But what exactly does food security mean?  Is self-sufficiency a useful proxy or is it something fundamentally more complex? And how do we balance improving our national food security with the ever-growing domestic land use competition from delivering environmental goods and services and expanding the area of biomass cropping and woodland to meet our net zero targets.  Is ‘non-traditional’ landless agriculture part of the solution?  What role might vertical farming, alternative proteins and cultured food play in the food security mix? Join us on 1 November for a stellar line up of speakers, including: Minette Batters, President, National Farmers Union Benjamina Bollag, Founder and CEO, HigherSteaks Limited Lord Deben, Chair of the Climate Change Committee and former Minister of Agriculture and Secretary of State for the Environment Dr Thomas Farrugia, Founder and CEO of Beta Bugs Limited Will Gemmill, Executive Partner, Ceres Rural Dr John Gilliland, Professor of Practice, Institute for Global Food Security (IGFS), Queen’s University Belfast Phil Jarvis, Chairman, Albanwise Farming Limited Professor Tim Lang, Professor Emeritus of Food Policy, Centre for Food Policy, University of London James Lloyd-Jones, CEO and Founder, Jones Food Company Limited Steve Maxwell, CEO, Worldwide Fruit Emily Norton, Head of Rural Research, Savills Abi Reader, Goldsland Farm, Glamorganshire and Farmers Weekly Farming Champion of the year Nick Swallow - Trade Commissioner to the UK & Ireland, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise Sophie Throup, Head of Agriculture, Fisheries and Sustainable Sourcing, W M Morrison Supermarkets Professor Michael Wallace, Professor of Agriculture and Food Economics, University College Dublin SPONSORSHIP We have a range of sponsorship packages available.  If you would like to discuss, please contact Victoria by emailing victoria@iagrm.com  If you have any questions at this stage, please do not hesitate to contact Victoria Bywater (victoria@iagrm.com)
