Dairy Farm Consultant working in Dorset and Somerset

I fell in love with dairy cows at the age of 15. Not being a farmer’s son meant I had to work hard to prove I was up to it!.

My passion for milk production gave me the opportunity to take on a number of positions working for Pedigree Holstein milk producers and an Organic Dairy Farm,  which means I have an abreast of skills, firstly always focusing on efficient milk production – multi forage diets being a passion. Always ambitious I was offered the position of Farm Manager at Reaseheath College at the same time as they invested in purchasing the Moet Herd which was a fantastic experience targeting 1100l twice a day milking.   I joined the IAgrM that year as a member and became a Trustee of British Grassland Society which gave me the experience for this role.

I have also worked in Australia as An Operations Manager on a 2000 cow dairy unit also in North Sudan as General Manager on a 1000 cow project.

I now want to bring all my experiences to my new post as a Dairy Farm Consultant working in Dorset and Somerset, and also to support the IAgrM and their members for the future of our industry.
